I never get tired of being nominated for these awards. I love the colorful badges and nominating more fantastic bloggers that I follow.
Thank you so much, Writerlious, for the nomination. Erin truly has a versatile blog. She fluctuates between writing tips, agent spotlights, fun personal posts, and even flash fiction challenges! Be sure to check her out (plus, she gives away blog nominations daily if you’re looking for one…haha).
You know the drill. Here are the rules:
1.) Thank the person who nominated you. (^)
2.) Share seven things about yourself:
* I am NOT a morning person. I’m more like a reptile that crawls out and needs to warm up a bit before moving.
* I can read palms 🙂
*My first celebrity crush was on the fox from the Disney Robin Hood movie (I know…disturbing…but he is pretty cute).
* I went to the library everyday at our summer vacation house and read every book in the children’s library. (I should probably note that I was a child when I did this or it sounds pathetic.)
* I was a tomboy when I was little. Actually, I’m still slightly tomboyish.
* I was a vegetarian during college and gained 15 pounds since I ate mostly Paul Newman’s chocolate bars and organic chips. (I can’t make this one sound better…it’s definitely pathetic)
* I love using children’s parties as an excuse for dressing up in embarrassing costumes.
3.) Nominate Seven Other Versatile Bloggers (My favorite part!):
*Steve Vernon (Not the manly award you wanted, but hopefully I won’t get nominated for that:))
*RC Gale (a brand new follower—yay!—and I checked out his blog and it’s ah-mazing!)
I’ll be checking in to see who everyone nominates. I find the best blogs through these awards!
Thanks again, Erin!
Thanks, Lauren! It means so much! I don’t get tired of these either! The vegetarian thing is hilarious :b I’ll have the official post with my nominations up on Monday 🙂 Have a good weekend! [going off to check out your nominations]
Have a great weekend too!
Oh, wow. Thanks! This is a first as I’m still a newbie…Hope to have something up tomorrow or Saturday, since Monday is my Yo Ho day. 🙂
I had no idea what these things were before either. Can’t wait to learn seven things about you!
I was a tomboy until I developed breasts! 🙂
I was playing catch with the football and it hit me in the chest. From that point on I was like, “Oh hell no.”
Thanks for the award! I have two to accept this week and I’m super excited!
Breasts definitely throw a wrench in the tomboy works. Completely put an end to wrestling. Looking forward to getting to know more things about you!
Thanks so much, Lauren! I love your college diet. At least it was Paul Newman’s chocolate. That’s healthy, right? Ahem. My college diet involved a lot of coffee and cookies a local baker supplied to our snack bar.
Np! You deserve it. I gained weight being a vegetarian in college too! Whoulda thunk?
Holy crap… I’m about to have a freak out moment right now… no doubt…
I TOTALLY HAD A CRUSH ON THAT LITTLE FOX, AKA ROBIN HOOD!!!! <—Hahaha! I'm totally laughing! Gosh, that show is my fav Disney show ever and I thought he was so attractive. (Still do… sh!) Love this. 😀
That makes me feel so much better! It’s probably one of the major reason’s I’ve included a Robin Hood story in my last book…haha. It’s hard enough when you realize that you can never actually marry someone you see in a movie, but when you realize you’re not even the same species…so much more tragic.
Me too! What’s totally weird is that several of my friends said that they did when they were little too. I have no idea how a cartoon fox can be sexy, but he sure was. 😉
I’m honoured, be sure to find my post. Being known as versatile is dear to me. Planting season for ‘hardiness zone’ 3 slowed blogs (higher regions of the world make me drool) . And dial-up only opens 2 pages at a time; no quickly popping in. Most noteworthy of all, we’re saying good-bye to our 1991 Chevrolet Lumina Eurosport today. Thank you for hanging on for us… get this…. six years longer than we thought possible! Maintaining all dignity, it’s still able for us to drive to its retirement. Always a sentimental record-keeper, yesterday I bugged 7 cats to pose on/in/around it for pictures. Prayer works and so does this make of car!
I get just as attached to my cars. That’s why I still have my 1995 jeep wrangler from high school! i love your stories 🙂
Lauren, I took as long to post this as expected; still gardening. But this award isn’t a game to me, I genuinely value recognition of my well-varied topics and interests. I hope your readers enjoy the humorous taste and subscribe to me as well. Thanks for the compliment this is! http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/calling-me-versatile-rocks/
Totally random and on the wrong page – but I’m curious – have you found your spirit guide?
So glad you stopped by and there is never a wrong place on my blog. I think I’ve met my spirit guide, but you never really know about these things. Have you had any experiences? I’d love to hear about it—email me @ lewaters777(at)yahoo(dot)com). I’m going to a past life regression class at the end of September and I can’t wait to see what happens!
Also, I can’t thank you enough for the fantastic review! It means so much to me that you took the time to leave one and it gives me such purpose 🙂 Thank you! Thank you ! Thank you!
